Bradninch Musical Gardens
A Unique Event
29th - 30th May
Imagine wandering through a pretty garden admiring the planting, when you hear the gentle strains of live music on the summer air. This is the pleasure that awaits visitors to Bradninch on 29th & 30th May, when the village opens 14 gardens ranging from stately homes to historic cottages over the weekend. Wandering musicians will entertain visitors with all types of music from classical to jazz.
Opening for the first time is the historic Bradninch Manor. The garden has been designed by Chelsea Gold medallist Mary Payne who is hoping to be present to talk to visitors and answer questions about the garden. Other gardens include a quartet of former weaver’s gardens with stunning views over the valley, a superb fruit & vegetable garden complete with hens, ducks, piglets and lambs and a six acre garden with original sculptures plus its own woodland and wild flower meadow.
Lunch and tea is available from most of the gardens, plus craft and plant stalls. Entry to all 14 gardens is just £5 for adults, children under fourteen are free. Funds raised will support Bradninch Music festival on 11th -13th June.
Bradninch is situated in the beautiful Culm Valley eight miles north of Exeter and just two miles from the M5 junction 28.
